I was born and raised primarily in Chattanooga, TN. I also lived in Trenton, NJ for several years before moving back to Chattanooga. I attended Clark Atlanta University for two years then transferred to NC Central University (NCCU). I was initiated in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, in the Spring of 1996 at NCCU.
Most of my professional career has been in executive level positions in senior living, marketing and business development, and affordable housing. Throughout my career I have had the pleasure of working in various cities including St. Louis, Kansas City, MO, Chicago and Atlanta.
When did you fall in love with cigars?
I fell in love with cigars when I lived in St. Louis. I met a cigar lounge owner shortly after moving there. He introduced me to the art of smoking a great cigar; paired with a comparable whiskey or bourbon that complemented the taste of the cigar.
When you are not enjoying a cigar, what do you like to do?
When not enjoying a cigar, I love to spend time with my family and friends, reading, volunteering for activities geared towards senior citizens, shopping and eating out as a self-proclaimed foodie.
Where is your favorite place to smoke in Atlanta?
My favorite place to smoke in Atlanta is The Patio Social Club. I started smoking there years ago when they moved into my old neighborhood. It has an amazing ownership team, extremely customer service focused staff, and great music and events. Overall, it’s the vibe on any given night that I love!
What is 1 Atlanta must-see/must-go for out-of-town attendees? There are so many things to see and do in Atlanta. As a huge football fan, I would recommend for sports enthusiasts to visit The College Football Hall of Fame and attend a Falcons game to see the newly built Mercedes Benz Stadium. As a foodie, I would encourage people to explore our dynamic food scene that changes constantly with new places to enjoy amazing food and inventive cocktails.
